Third annual???
YES little know but there has been marathoners who have completed this marathon for the last two horrendously cold years, here are the temps from the last two years
..day 1...day 2
1st...-10...0
2nd.....9...0
this year looks to be much nicer.
well start from the crown with OSS but a little earlier 7AM.
Day two will give you good reason not to partake in to much spirits on new years eve
it will start at 7AM form Panara south (1/1/2012) good way to kick start the new years log book.
there will be one unmanned waterstop each day (let me know if you plan on running and I'll make sure there are enough cups) Oh buy the way it is completely unorganized and cost nothing, you just have to gut it out.

Just a reminder, this is the last fall marathon training run.
If you want to continue to hang out with the cool kids on Saturday mornings you can get on the Off Season Striders(OSS) group email list by sending a request to John Shonyo or Jean Murray at rochrunner@gmail.com (John)or Jean at: runintojean@gmail.com.
we continue to meet Saturday mornings for a long run usually between 8 and 15 miles, and it continues throughout the winter. We start from different locations (usually Panara south or Dunn brothers north). So get on the list and you'll know where were starting from each week.

RTC RAC run Saturday September 24th 7AM
this is a 10 mile route and for those looking for 15 you can get it by doing the viola hill/quarry hill loop, love that hill.
Also this run is the last of the organized RTC fall marathon training runs.

If your looking for something interesting to do with the family this weekend the Rochester Astronomy club is having an outreach that is open to the public at Mayo high school (door 6) on Friday night(backup on Saturday)starting at 8 pm. There will be around a dozen manned telescopes, All of volunteers enjoy sharing information about what you will be looking at and all of them have a wealth of knowledge they are willing to share not only with kids but also with those who are kids at heart.
hope to see you there

RTC RAC run Saturday 4/23 7:15AM
this was going to be the notoriously long run down Pinewood road that ended up being 22 miles so I thought this would be a good time to try out the new med city marathon course since it is so much different this year.
you can run the full at 22 miles
or go to water stop 4 then back on 4th ave to get 18.5
or go to water stop 4 twice with a solder field loop and then back on 4th for 20.5
Runners choice
See you there
