The Last RAC run of 2010. Sat Sept 25 7AM
There is just one water stop at silver lake so there is a few options,
MTC and Chicago marathoners will just run 10 miles (cutting out the Viola hill loop)
and Whistle stop and others can get in 15 with Viola hill (lucky for you hill lovers).
See You Saturday.

Fall Marathon
I finally signed up for a fall marathon, Rails to Trails in Norwalk, WI on Nov 7th. I run much better in the cold that should be late enough in the season to insure cool temps(hopefully the snow is not flying). If any one knows of another runner doing this race let me know, maybe we can meet up for a couple of long runs to finish the fall season, and possibly car pool to the race. the more the merrier.

First off I need to extend a congratulations to Jen Bradt for her domination of the Square lake half Ironman. Third place overall women and first place in her age group, (WOW great job!) At the run turn around I was completely spent and she went by me like I was standing still (I may have been).
RAC run Saturday Sept 18 7AM
This run is 17.7 miles, 15.8 if you cut out the silver lake loop

windy city
I usually keep my post limited to Saturday runs but I am in Chicago this week and had a great day biking and running, and wanted to post some pics from the lake front trail.
from the hotel.
Adler planetarium with a statue of Copernicus, the guy who first postulated the earth goes around the sun (heliocentric).
The Shedd Aquarium
Buckingham fountain
A Pic from the lakeside of the McCormick center (where I’m working)
<
So many people were out tonight along the lake (great people watching) and the night was perfect for a good workout I had a hard time stopping.
Next time your in Chicago I highly recommend checking out the lake shore trail. Also I found a swim area at the edge of the lake that at least 20 – 30 people were swimming, looks like I’m bringing my wetsuit next week (a little warm up for square lake)
Hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather.
